Today, PCSOs from the local policing team visited Hornsey Road Children's Centre and carried out a successful engagement session with children and staff. During the visit, officers spoke with the children about the role of a PCSO and how the police help to keep people safe in their communities. The session included discussions on basic personal safety, road safety, stranger awareness and identifying trusted adults who can help when needed. The children were enthusiastic and actively participated in a fun question-and-answer session, asking officers about police equipment, daily duties and how we help members of the public. The visit provided a positive opportunity to build trust and confidence between young people and the police from an early age. We would like to thank the staff at Hornsey Road Children's Centre for their warm welcome and look forward to continuing to work together to support and engage with local families.
